If it’s Meant to Be, It will Be

This quote is something I’ve lived by since I was in high school and my now husband was going off to college.

We didn’t know if we would be able to make a long distance relationship work but my now mother-in-law said, “if it’s meant to be, it will be” and it eventually did.

Now I use it for so much more than just a high school love.

I’ve used it for buying not one house but two, for my infertility journey, for my career and for a lot of friendships.

I don’t know my next steps in life but I do know that “if it’s meant to be, it will be”.

Where Were They?

Have you ever read stories of something bad happening and then see people stepping up to help?

If you have, have you ever wondered where these people were before hand?

The newly divorced mom of dad who are now getting offers to help watch their kids or be a listening ear. Where were they when they were struggling to save their marriage?

The man that just got fired from their job because they had too much going on who are now being asked what people can do to help so they can find new work. Where were they when the mountain felt hard to climb?

The teenager that just got arrested for doing drugs who now have concerned parents. Where were they with all the warning signs?

The woman who just committed suicide and now people are posting that they should have reached out. Where were they when they asked to hangout, when they were being bullied or when they knew the terrors they were going through?

Everything is clearer in hindsight.

So if you can, be there now. ❤️

Support

We all need support.

Whether that be from our spouse, from our colleagues, from our family or from our friends.

We all deserve it and we all have the right to it.

My husband supports me with my work, with going back to school and with how we parent our children.

And I support him with his crazy projects, owning his own business and by helping him whenever possible.

Without that support, our marriage would fail.

At work I also receive support.

I am supported by my director to continue my education and with ideas I may have.

I am supported by my colleagues with every day tasks and how to sufficiently do our job together.

& I am supported by my organization by having the opportunities to grow as a healthcare professional as well as in my personal life.

Without that support, our department would not be a team and our organization would not be successful.

And lastly, I receive support from my family and friends.

They support me on every goal I have in my life. Whether that be with school, work or my family. They are there.

So with the good and the bad, I have support.

& I definitely wouldn’t be the strong, independent, hard working woman I am today without it.
