Reliability

Have you ever relied on something and then it failed you?

Whether it be technology, a person, etc. it is never fun to be let down.

Well as most of you know, I am a type 1 diabetic and I have an insulin pump that monitors my blood sugars continuously. With this, my pump also gives me extra insulin when needed. But when my sensor is not reliable, my blood sugars can get into dangerous levels.

Now I did just get this insulin pump a few months ago so it is still learning my body/habits and my endocrinologist is still making changes to my insulin needs but it doesn’t make it any less stressful.

This is also the same for when people you rely on let you down.

My husband and I rely on our family and friends a lot when it comes to help with our children. And we have only been letdown a few times but it’s always by the same person/people.

Whenever this happens it typically causes undo stress and plans have to be changed/cancelled or a back up plan has to be made.

& it also makes you rethink relying on their person in the future. Or creating a backup plan just incase.

So what do you do when you can’t rely on people or technology?
