Nesting

“Nesting during pregnancy is the overwhelming desire to get your home ready for your new baby.” – American Pregnancy Association

If you have ever been pregnant, you know nesting is a real thing! & it doesn’t just happen to the mamas either.

Last pregnancy I remember cleaning my whole house a few weeks before I was put on bedrest. I dusted (I absolutely loathe dusting), I vacuumed, I scrubbed both bathrooms including the shower and I got organized. I was ready.

My husband on the other hand? He decided to put in new carpet in our bedroom and new flooring in the nursery. This meant moving all the furniture, painting, ripping out all the carpet, getting new carpet installed and getting everything back into place before I went into labor…

Which he did, except a few pictures that still need to be hung up!

This pregnancy however, he has decided to build a front deck and do some “plumbing” in our basement. This means that he has jackhammered out our front steps (they were solid cement) and has to style and purchase everything in order to build said deck… & I still have no idea what the “plumbing” is for..

Let’s just say, he has 9 weeks… IF HE IS LUCKY!

I’m a tad nervous…

Oh and my nesting? Cleaning and organizing 😆
